Description
The purpose of the CRISI Program is to assist in funding capital projects that improve passenger and freight rail transportation safety, efficiency, and reliability. At least $17 million must be made available for rural projects, and at least $10 million for projects that contribute to the initiation or restoration of intercity passenger rail service.
