Description
The purpose of this program build and strengthen in-country capacity for sustainable laboratory networks in PEPFAR-supported countries. The program will focus on: 1) workforce develop through enhanced in-service laboratory training and certification programs; 2) continuous quality improvement by strengthening the laboratory standards, policies and systems,; and; 3) increasing laboratory capacity to perform quality laboratory testing for Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other opportunistic infections. The program will also focus on working through collaborations to build capacity in PEPFAR-supported countries to diagnosis, manage and treat People Living with HIV and other HIV-related diseases, including TB through the transfer and sharing of knowledge, tools technology and best practices.
