Description
The Fish and Aquatic Conservation Program's Branch of Aquatic Invasive Species(AIS)intends to award funding for its 2018 State Interstate Aquatic Nuisance Species Management Plan(SIANSMP) Grant Program(Program). Section 4724 of the Nonindigenous Aquatic Nuisance Prevention and Control Act of 1990, as amended(16 U.S.C. 4701 thru 4741)(Act), authorized and provided general guidance for the development of State and Interstate Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) Management Plans. The act enables State governors, and Indian Tribal governments involved in an eligible interstate organization (see Section III below), to submit comprehensive plans to the ANS Task Force for approval.
