This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) encourages applications from integrative teams and individual investigators for projects to determine the mechanisms underlying the contribution of these risk-associated genes and their variants for T1D. The purpose is to accelerate the discovery of function of the causal genes and variants that influence the risk for disease.
