Description

Per the Secretary of the Interior’s Priority #1 for Financial Assistance, “creating a conservation stewardship legacy second only to Teddy Roosevelt,” this project’s goal is to increase visitor understanding through completing the following objectives: 1.) Updating an existing lesson plan and creating at least two new curriculum-based lesson plans, including educational support materials, about stewardship of the park’s cultural and natural resources 2.) Provide programs to the public at least once weekly about the park’s cultural and natural resources 3.) Updating existing web content on the park’s webpage and creating at least 15 new topic-specific pages to increase visitor access to information about the park’s resources The project assists in the creation, promotion, facilitation, and/or improvement of the public's understanding of natural, cultural, historic, recreational, and other aspects of areas such as ecological conservation areas and state and local parks.
