This notice solicits applications for Rural Health Integration Models for Parents and Children to Thrive (IMPACT). A two-generational approach focuses on creating opportunities for and addressing needs of both vulnerable children and their parents together. It prioritizes and facilitates coordination of programs and services needed to address the additive effects of poverty and geographic isolation on early childhood health and development. A holistic-family-based approach acknowledges the importance of the family in shaping health and developmental outcomes for children.2 Research has shown that the well-being of parents greatly impacts the health and developmental trajectories of their children and is a crucial factor in children’s social-emotional, physical, and economic well-being. At the same time, the emotional and behavioral needs of at-risk infants, toddlers, and preschoolers are best met through coordinated services that focus on relationships, especially with parents and other caregivers. Parents’ ability to succeed in school and/or at work is affected by how well their children are doing. SAM.gov is experiencing high volume and delays. If you have tried to create or update your SAM.gov registration but have not been able to complete the process, you may not be able to apply for a HRSA funding opportunity via Grants.gov in a timely manner prior to the application deadline.
