Description

Subject to the availability of funds, USDOL’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) intends to award, through a competitive process, one cooperative agreement to an organization to strengthen efforts by the Congolese government and other relevant stakeholders to address child labor in the cobalt industry of the DRC. The project should achieve the following outcomes: 1) Increased common understanding of the challenges and opportunities for addressing child labor in the DRC’s cobalt industry; 2) Increased capacity of government and other relevant stakeholders to address child labor in the DRC’s cobalt industry; and 3) Improved monitoring and remediation efforts by private sector of child labor in the cobalt supply chain.
