Description
Interns are needed to assist the curator at the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site (CARL) in returning the museum collection to permanent exhibit in the historic house museum. The collection was removed for its protection in 2015 while preservation work was performed on the house. The museum collection is the primary interpretive resource at CARL and is integral to the parkâ¿¿s mission of preserving the legacy of Sandburg. All work will be done in accordance with the National Park Service (NPS) Museum Handbook and Conserve-O-Grams, NPS Directorâ¿¿s Orders #19, #24, and #28, NPS Regulations and policies, legislative history, and established museum standards and procedures.
