A. Project Goals â¿¿ The goal of this agreement is to provide young adults with structured, safe, challenging work and educational opportunities through employment projects that promote personal growth, the development of life skills and professional development, and an ethic of natural and cultural resource stewardship. In addition, the agreement will aid in the National Heritage Areasâ¿¿ efforts to involve and engage youth through the implementation of projects that promote access to recreational opportunities and development of historic preservation stewardship, while connecting and strengthening relationships with local communities within the heritage areas. B. Project Objectives â¿¿ The objectives of the agreement include: Partnering with Conservation Legacy, to recruit youth interns for natural and cultural resource conservation projects implemented by the National Heritage Areas in meeting their management plan goals; Assist National Heritage Areas in improving public awareness and visitation to natural and cultural resources, as well as increase public participation in recreational, heritage, and educational opportunities found within heritage areas; Engage youth through unique heritage area internships that provide for professional development and improve stewardship of our nationâ¿¿s significant National Heritage Areas.
