Partnering with Regional Institutes to Strengthen Essential Public Health Functions in Vietnam
ArchivedCenters for Disease Control - CGH
Description
The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to strengthen capabilities of four Regional Institutes of Vietnam to execute World Health Organization (WHO) essential public health functions (http://www.euro.who.int/en/health-topics/Health-systems/public-health-services/policy/the-10-essential-public-health-operations). This NOFO aligns with and supports the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) (https://ghsagenda.org/about.html). Key components include support for GHSA focus areas, including preventing avoidable epidemics, early detection of threats, and rapid and effective response; and support for additional programs performing cross-cutting public health functions at the regional level. Activities supported through this NOFO will enhance the capacity of regional institutes to assess and assure the health of the people of Vietnam through the provision of essential public health services and strengthen capabilities for multi-disease, multi-condition surveillance, response, prevention, and control.
