Description

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement is to identify and then prospectively evaluate the effectiveness of current practices used by primary healthcare providers to manage patients with asthma. Investigators will identify management strategies in current use for primary care of asthma by analyzing electronic health records (EHRs) from a nationally representative sample of patients and then prospectively evaluate the paradigms for management that appear to be most effective through EHR-enabled clinical trials. The Cooperative Agreement awarded through this FOA will support a Clinical Center, comprised of a primary care network (PCN), a data management core (DMC), and a clinical consultation center (CCC).
