Description

The US Geological Survey, Fort Collins Science Center, is offering a funding opportunity to address whether mountain lakes, specifically of Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Yosemite, and Rocky Mountain National Parks are on a trajectory of rapid eutrophication toward harmful algal blooms. Specific research questions addressed are: 1. How common are algal blooms across the landscape and what drives their occurrence? 2. How have mountain lake algal assemblages changed over time?
