When Do Pine Seedlings form Mycorrhiza and Acquire Endophytes in Severe Fire Zones

Archived

National Park Service

Description

The purpose of this project is to determine the mycorrhizal fungi that associate with and assist the growth of Table Mountain Pine (Pinus pungens) seedlings. After a fire, look for probable sources of these fungi, look for changes in associations as the seedlings mature, and look at the time-line for endophytic fungi to colonize needles of seedling pines post fire.
