NFWF USFWS Conservation Partnership 2018
ArchivedFish and Wildlife Service
Description
Created by Congress in 1984, NFWF directs public conservation dollars to the most pressing environmental needs and matches those investments with private funds. NFWF's method is simple and effective: to work with a full complement of individuals, foundations, government agencies, non-profits, and corporations to identify and fund targeted conservation challenges throughout the nation where a focused investment is likely to result in a conservation success. Authorizing legislation includes: National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Establishment Act (16 U.S.C. 3701 3709, Public Law 98 244, March 26, 1984, 98 Stat. 107, as amended by Public Law 100 240, January 11, 1988, 101 Stat. 1785, Public Law 100 653, November 14, 1988, 102 Stat. 3834; and Public Law 103 232, 108 Stat. 336); "Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act (16 USC 661 et seq.)
