This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) supports exploratory research projects aimed at developing cryogenic or other long-term preservation and revival approaches for Drosophila or zebrafish genetic stocks, which are essential laboratory animal models for biomedical research. The proposed project should address critical knowledge and technology gaps and describe approaches towards the development of reliable, easy-to-use and cost effective cryogenic or other long-term preservation and revival methods for wild-type and mutant strains of Drosophila or zebrafish.
