Biological Controls of Coastal Marsh Dynamics
ArchivedGeological Survey
Description
The USGS is engaged in ongoing research to understand the ability of coastal marshes to adapt to increases in relative sea level and other stressors. This program of research uses field experimental and observational studies, along with model development and application, to examine the ability of coastal marshes to keep pace with rising sea-levels. The current opportunity builds on a long-term effort that involves established field sites as well as an expansion of the work geographically.
