Description

The U.S. Embassy Harare/Bureau of Population,Refugees, and Migration (PRM) of the U.S. Department of State seeks grant applications for the Julia Taft Refugee Fund from eligible organizations tomeet one-time, low-cost projects to address important gaps in refugeeprotection and assistance. Examples of previous projects: Youth sportsprograms, improving hygiene and sanitation conditions, income generation forrefugees, and vocational education programs. Program Objectives: PRM's Julia Taft Refugee Fund is intended tomeet gaps in refugee assistance needs that can be supported by projects thatare not addressed by the Office of the United Nations High Commissionerfor Refugees (UNHCR), other international organizations (IOs), ornon-governmental organizations (NGOs) receiving U.S. government funding.
