Description
The DOE SC program in Fusion Energy Sciences (FES) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Defense Program (DP) jointly announce their interests in receiving grant applications for new awards for research in the SC-NNSA Joint Program in High-Energy-Density (HED) laboratory plasmas. All individuals or groups planning to submit applications for new funding in Fiscal Year 2019 should submit in response to this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). The specific areas of interest are: HED Hydrodynamics Magnetized HED Plasma Physics Nonlinear Optics of Plasmas and Laser-Plasma Interactions Relativistic HED Plasmas and Intense Beam Physics High-Z, Multiply Ionized HED Atomic Physics Attention is called to the limitations on the number of applications that may be submitted on behalf of a principal investigator (PI) in Section III, Part D.
