Fish and Wildlife Service

Description

Surveys of breeding landbirds will be completed for previously established point count transects as part of the Nevada Bird Count Program on the National Wildlife Refuges in southern Nevada. All transects are established in recent and ongoing restoration areas. Survey results will provide Refuge Managers with information regarding changes in density of conservation priority bird species in response to habitat restoration. This information will be used to guide adaptive management of restored habitats and plan future restoration efforts.
