Description
The DOE SC program in Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR) hereby announces its interest in receiving applications from large multi-disciplinary teams (requesting support of more than $2 million per year) with the potential to dramatically accelerate research in quantum computing (QC). This FOA solicits applications for Accelerated Research in Quantum Computing (ARQC) Teams that will adopt a holistic and disciplined approach to address basic research gaps in the abstractions, methods and tools that connect QC applications to hardware.Submitted applications must follow the guidelines and criteria provided in the supplementary information below and the following sections. Letters of Intent (LOIs) are required and must be submitted according to the guidelines in the following sections. No responses will be sent to the LOIs. Applications submitted on behalf of investigators that did not submit an LOI; applications that do not follow the guidelines and criteria established below; or applications requesting support for out-of-scope topics may be declined without merit review.
