FUNDING OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION Legislative Authority Conservation Technical Assistance: Soil Conservation and Domestic Allotment Act, Public Law (P.L.)74-76 United States Code U.S.C 590 a-f, 590 q. Environmental Quality Incentives Program: This program is authorized by Chapter 4 of Subtitle D of Title XII of the Food Security Act of 1985 (16 U.S.C. 3839aa--3839aa-8), effective February 7, 2014, Title XII, Part Subtitle D, P.L. 99-198, 16 U.S.C. 3830. B. Overview The purpose of this announcement is to partner with and support the efforts of natural resource conservation partners, and to promote public awareness and implementation of Farm Bill activities including, but not limited to, conducting conservation outreach workshops and training. This will help educate New Mexico’s agricultural community, private landowners, conservation organizations, cooperating agencies, acequias, land grants, and general citizenry. The main focus areas are described below. Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will accept applications under this notice for single or multi-year applications submitted by eligible entities. Applicants interested in multi-year agreements need to so indicate this on their application(s).
