THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source justified master cooperative agreement. Master Cooperative Agreement Number P15AC00015 was entered into by and between the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, (NPS), and American Conservation Experience (ACE) to provide rewarding environmental service opportunities that harness the idealism and energy of a volunteer labor force to help improve America's public lands. Four Youth Shorebird interns will be integrated into the Natural Resource Management and Science operation, where they will work alongside career professionals and work alongside park shorebird management and protection program and collect field data along seashore beaches. This hands-on experience in resource protection will increase their career awareness, and give them the opportunity to develop skills relevant to their field of academic study and/or career interest while contributing to the natural resource goals (i. e., endangered shorebird management and monitoring shorebird population and critical habitat) in the near- and long-term at Cape Cod National Seashore.
