This announcement is to provide public notice of the NPS's intention to award a task agreement P19AC00124 under a previously competed master cooperative agreement P15AC00031. Interns will provide access to the park’s primary resource to the visiting public by leading up to three cave tours daily. Interns will also provide information to visitors to enhance their visit to the park. With the cave tours tours daily this will allow approximately 6,500 people to experience the park's primary resource. Interns will also staff an information desk and provide visitors with the information they need to have a meaningful visit to the park. The project engages recipients, partners, communities, and/or visitors in shared environmental stewardship. The project promotes greater public and private participation in historic preservation programs and activities. The project builds resource stewardship ethics in its participants. The project motivates youth participants to become involved in the natural, cultural and/or historical resource protections of their communities and beyond. The project assists in the creation, promotion, facilitation, and/or improvement of the publics understanding of natural, cultural, historic, recreational and other aspects of areas such as ecological conservation areas, and state and local parks. Interns will receive real-life work experience working side-by-side with Park Rangers and Park Guides.
