Project Goals ¿ Connect Native American youth to their National Parks through engagement interpretation, education, and protection of natural resources at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Rainbow Bridge National Monument. B. Project Objectives ¿ By participating in the project, Native American youth will improve visitor services and advance mission achievement through offering interpretive and educational programs to park visitors. Native American youth will learn and develop valuable skills in vegetation and wildlife monitoring; invasive non-native plant inventory, mapping, and management; native plant restoration; and outdoor living and recreation while improving wildlife-dependent recreation opportunities (i.e. hunting, fishing, wildlife observation, and/or photography) at multiple park sites. In addition, project participants will gain a better understanding and appreciation of NPS natural and cultural resources.
