Description

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) – Pacific Islands Area Office, an agency under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), is seeking natural resource conservation partners to increase conservation technology transfer, both conservation planning and implementation. Proposals will be accepted from eligible entities for projects located in the Pacific Islands Area. NRCS anticipates that the total amount awarded under this announcement in Federal fiscal year 2019 will be up to $900,000. Proposals are requested for competitive consideration of projects for between one and five years in duration. Proposals are requested from state government, local government, non-governmental organization, institutions of higher education, or from Federally recognized Indian Tribal Organizations. This notice identifies the objectives, eligibility criteria, and application instructions for projects. Proposals will be screened for completeness and compliance with the provisions of this notice. Incomplete and/or noncompliant proposals will be eliminated from competition, and notification of elimination will be sent to the applicant.
