Description

This announcement is to provide public notice of the NPS's intention to award financial assistance for the following project activities without competition. The objective of this Agreement is to support and stimulate work and/or education and training opportunities for young adults through collaborative participation in performing both actual and cultural interpretation including traditional historical interpretation. This will be accomplished by hiring six (6) students and two (2) crew leaders that will: (1) Provide assistance with rehabilitation of the Greenstone Ridge Trail as part of the 161-mile long trails system in the park (2) Perform trail rehabilitation work (consisting of trail brushing, erosion control, rock and root removal) on the Greenstone Ridge Trail (3) Assist park staff with daily duties to gain valuable skills to assist towards careers in the conservation/resource management field. NPS staff will work alongside the crew to rehabilitate a 4.2 mile section of the Greenstone Ridge Trail.
