ArchivedNational Energy Technology Laboratory
Description
DISCLAIMER: The Notice of Intent to Issue is for informational purposes only; the Department of Energy is not seeking comments on the information in this notice. This is a Notice of Intent to Issue Funding Opportunity Announcement number DE-FOA-0002079 titled Small-Scale Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Systems for Distributed Power Generation. The anticipated focus of the potential Funding Opportunity Announcement is the design and build of small-scale solid oxide fuel cell systems, for which there is a near-term market. For both large and small-scale distributed generation solid oxide fuel cell systems, the overall system cost is high, thereby limiting commercial acceptance. The primary objective of Fossil Energy’s Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Program is to lower the cost of solid oxide fuel cell systems through research and development.
