Description

As a result of increased impervious surface onthe installation, Stoney Creek has experienced storm water flows of increasedvolume and intensity from drainage outfalls that discharge directly in to thecreek. These storm water flows have contributed to the observed erosion and wideningof the natural creek bed, erosion and undermining of adjacent embankmentslopes, damage to several earlier repair or stabilization efforts of the streamchannel, and encroachment upon the soils underlying the foundations ofpedestrian bridges that currently cross the creek. The purpose of this project will be to carry outconstruction in order to stabilize/restore Stoney Creek based on previouslygenerated restoration design plans.
