Painting and Refurbishment of Bath House and Maintenance Shop
ArchivedNational Park Service
Description
GWUSA will organize youth into work crews to revitalize the Bath House and the Maintenance Shop at Tuskegee Airmen NHS. The two historic buildings needs an extensive amount of exterior painting to protect this important cultural resource. This opportunity will be used to train the youth in career-building preservation techniques such as clapboard and trip repair, painting, use of paint equipment, scaffolding and the like, as they replace rotting wood and doors and repaint the exteriors of both sites.
