Description
Notice of Intent to award a cooperative agreement to the Indiana Geological Survey, under Indiana University, in support of the project entitled " Quaternary Mapping in IN, FY2019-20". The main objective of the project is continue ongoing 1:48,000-scale mapping in the Indianapolis metropolitan area (Johnson County) [Project 1], refine the bedrock surface associated with the Teays bedrock valley system in east-central Indiana (Project 2), and determine the stratigraphy of pre-Wisconsin deposits within the White River valley, a significant alluvial aquifer (Project 3). STATEMAP funds complement GLGMC funds to complete 1:100,000 and 1:48,000-scale Quaternary mapping of the state.
