Expansion of LandScope Chesapeake
ArchivedNational Park Service
Description
THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award financial assistance for the following project activities. This is a modification to an existing cooperative agreement to support continued expansion and applications of geospatial data and associated content on the LandScope Chesapeake mapping platform. In 2012, the National Park Service, U.S. Geological Survey and NatureServe jointly executed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on development of LandScope Chesapeake. This web-based mapping platform was designed to facilitate collaboration among Chesapeake Bay watershed states, localities, agencies, tribes and non-governmental organizations in support of the 2014 Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement signed by governors of six states. This supports partnership work to expand public access, conserve working lands, wildlife habitat corridors, and historic resources.
