Description

The U.S. Embassy Lusaka of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a program (or programs) to: 1) Raise awareness of voter and electoral rights and encourage voter registration and participation, with a focus on key constituency groups with previous low electoral participation. Proposed activities should increase public awareness of government accountability and representational responsibilities and should have multiplier effects and a sustainable impact, or 2) Raise public awareness of and promote fiscal transparency, public accountability, and the ethical management of public resources. Possible activities could include increasing public awareness of corruption and misuse of government funds in major infrastructure projects, promoting transparency in public infrastructure and construction projects, and improving public resource management and whistle blower protection.
