Description
The University of Iowa will conduct a study entitled:“In-situ bedload measurements using multi-beam echosounders (MBES) and AcousticCurrent Doppler Profilers (ADCPs).” The primary contribution of the proposedresearch is the Acoustic Mapping Velocimetry (AMV) implementation formeasurements in natural streams where the current bedload measurementtechnologies are of questionable accuracy irrespective of their type (bottomtracking with ADCPs or direct sampling with bedload probes).
