Description

Twelve Latino high school students and three teachers will be introduced to archeology as a means of understanding Hispanic contributions to the settlement and culture of the American Southwest. Visits to nine National Park units and several Hispanic heritage and American Indian sites will broaden the context of Hispanic interactions in the region. Work on the archeological site and additional time spent in the six archeology labs at the University of Arizona will provide a range of scientific careers for them to consider.
