Fish and Wildlife Service

Description

This project will provide laboratory support for evaluating the genetic assessment aims detailed in the Project Summary. The recipient laboratory has developed 18 nuclear microsatellite loci for Lahontan cutthroat trout (LCT). Within the 18 nuclear microsatellite dataset the recipient's laboratory has specific markers to identify whether interbreeding is occurring between different strains of LCT, and whether LCT are hybridizing with rainbow trout.
