The Family Drug Court (FDC) Program will support three categories: Category 1: Enhancing Family Drug Courts. Programs funded under Category 1 are expected to expand parental substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services in existing family drug courts, including screening, assessment, case management, recovery support services, and program coordination to family drug court participants. Category 2: Serving Veterans Through Family Drug Courts. These grants will address the unique needs of veterans and their families with appropriate services through the FDC model. Category 3: State and County Family Drug Courts Expansion: This category will support states and counties to enhance and/or expand family drug court treatment and recovery practices at the larger state and county level to more effectively serve families affected by substance use disorders. This initiative will enhance public safety, ensure that youth are held appropriately accountable to both victims and communities, and empower youth to live productive, law-abiding lives.
