Description

As part of the overall effort to reduce the burden of chronic disease and associated risk factors, the Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant provides resources to prioritize the use of funds, to fill funding gaps in programs that deal with leading causes of death and disabilities and the ability to respond rapidly to emerging health issues, including outbreaks of foodborne infections and waterborne diseases.
