Description

The USGS is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research in Coastal Groundwater Hazards. The primary Research Objectives covered by this opportunity include: (1) regional assessments of the response of the water table and associated hazards due to sea level rise, including salt water intrusion, (2) local investigations of coastal aquifer processes on DOI lands with USGS Woods Hole Science team members, (3) writing reports and papers to peer-reviewed journals about the developed modeling systems, applications, and results, (4) attending meetings with the CoSMoS and Coastal Change Hazards development teams, as well as the Woods Hole team, to discuss strategies for future work, resolve issues with models, and assist with the publication and dissemination of modeling results.
