THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award financial assistance for the following project activities:Under the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement, Executive Order 13508 and the Chesapeake Bay Initiative Act, the NPS leads and coordinates activities and programs to promote and increase public access to recreation and natural and cultural resources, interpret Chesapeake gateway sites and watertrails, foster public stewardship, and conserve watershed resources. Corazón Latino will be a key near- and long-term partner in the support of NPS efforts to conserve important resource lands, enhance public access, and develop recreational and interpretive resources and advance citizen stewardship. Corazon Latino will assist the NPS and its partners in providing multicultural, Latino and Hispanic communities with access, meaningful engagement and opportunities participate in recreation, stewardship, and restoration-related activities associated with Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network sites.Specified projects and initiatives pursuant to this Agreement will be individually authorized by separate NPS task agreements, with each project or activity having a separate statement of work and budget developed cooperatively between the NPS and Corazon Latino.
