Under this Cooperative Agreement, University of Colorado Boulder will studyConcentrate Minimization, inline static mixer/crystallizers. The project willtranslate this correlation into the static inline mixers and perform systematicexperiments to estimate the parameters.Researchers at University of Colorado Boulder will focus on the followingtasks:Translate previously found correlation (previous BOR-CU Bouldercollaboration) into bench scale static inline mixers and performsystematic experiments to estimate the parametersBench scale testing of the static inline mixer to increase rate ofnucleation and crystallization of 2 model Reverse Osmosis concentratestreamsPilot scale testing of the static inline mixer to increase rate of nucleationand crystallization of Reverse Osmosis concentrate stream atdemonstration site
