Description

The USGS is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research to identify mechanisms of marsh vulnerability with remote sensing, observational, and/or numerical model data. The work will include development and implementation of geospatial techniques to merge diverse data sets across Northeastern United States salt marshes, and thereby link marsh characteristics with observed and predicted geomorphic stability. This work will provide information that supports natural resource management and coastal resilience and guides future restoration and management priorities for multiple federal and state agencies, as well as non-governmental organizations.
