Description

The U.S. Geological Survey Southwest Biological Science Center, is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU Partner for research aimed at improving land management strategies to prepare for ecosystem stress and transformations induced by drought and wildfire on DOI lands in the western U.S. Drought and wildfire pose enormous threats to the integrity of natural resources that land managers are charged with protecting. The goal of this funding opportunity is to understand how decision-making occurs with respect to drought and wildfire-induced ecosystem stress, and how these decisions and future planning can be improved to meet future intensification of these stressors.
