Description

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Public Programs is accepting applications for the Media Projects program. The purpose of this program is to support collaboration between media producers and scholars to develop humanities content and to prepare documentary film, television, radio, and podcast projects that engage public audiences with humanities ideas in creative and appealing ways. All projects must be grounded in humanities scholarship. Media Projects makes awards at two levels: Development and Production. NOTE: This funding opportunity includes two application deadlines: August 12, 2020 and January 6, 2021. Please select the appropriate application package under the “Package” tab.

  • City or township governments
  • Special district governments
  • Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
  • Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
  • Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (other than higher education)
  • Private institutions of higher education
