COVID 19 – Operational Challenges for Corrections

Archived

National Institute of Corrections

Description

To effectively respond to operational challenges in a safe and secure manner, the entire field of corrections is continuously evolving and changing. This requires Corrections Executives to promote environments where continuous learning and professional development is embraced and encouraged throughout their organizations. With responsibility for leading complex systems, these executives are charged with managing human resources, and administering fiscal resources, all while supporting strong business practices and delivering positive results. Additionally, it is vitally important for Corrections Executives to stay current regarding critical issues facing the field, and the methods that they have employed for effectively addressing these challenges. For years, NIC has been committed to improving operational performance throughout corrections by providing information and data to support continuity of operations during crises.
