Centers for Disease Control - CGH

Description

The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $250,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds. Using funding provided by PEPFAR, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) works with host countries and other key partners to assess the needs of each country and design a customized program of assistance that fits within the host nation's strategic plan and partnership framework. The main aim of the Notice of funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to provide support to the Ghanaian Ministry of Health (MOH) to strengthen the national laboratory system. This will be achieved through a combination of activities that build the capacity for HIV Viral Load (VL) and Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) testing, ensure the implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) practices, provide technical assistance to strengthen laboratory capacity for HIV surveillance, diagnosis, and disease monitoring, and through the development of national laboratory policy guidelines and standards.
