Description
The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB), Family Violence Prevention and Services (FVPSA) Program seeks to award four cooperative agreements under the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act to support four Special Issue Resource Centers (SIRC) that will be national in scope and will enhance domestic violence and dating violence intervention and prevention efforts in at least one of the following areas: 1) criminal and civil justice systems; 2) child protective services and child custody; 3) health care systems; or 4) mental health systems. In cooperative agreement awards, the federal government has substantial involvement in the project, and ACYF/FYSB will provide substantial involvement beyond the usual communication such as conference calls and site visits. The SIRC grantees are part of a network of National, Special Issue, Culturally Specific, and Capacity Building Resource Centers providing leadership, training, technical assistance, resources, and support to programs and systems serving victims of domestic violence and their children.
