This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) solicits Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant applications from small business concerns (SBCs) that translate technology innovations from academic and other non-profit research sectors to the marketplace to advance the development of diagnostic and prevention tools or treatments for musculoskeletal, rheumatic or skin diseases. It supports pre-clinical research and development, such as moving products towards regulatory approval for clinical testing or making the new lab technologies more practical to use in a clinical setting. It may require close collaboration between the original developers of these technologies and the SBCs.
