Notice of Funding Opportunity Summary Through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) NRCS has $200,000 available for an 18-month cooperative agreement with an entity with expertise in watershed assessment plans, specifically using the assessment template found in this funding opportunity.There are 3 watershed assessments to be completed in Puerto Rico and USVI based on HUC12 (HUC14 for St. Thomas). Additional watershed proposals will be accepted and evaluated but priority will be given to the watersheds below: · Rio Grande de Añasco -210100030212· Rio la Plata -210100050707· NW St. Thomas Watershed -21020001010010 Proposals are requested from non-Federal entities for projects 18 months in duration to compete for consideration of cooperative agreement awards. This notice identifies the objectives, eligibility criteria, and application instructions for projects. Proposals will be screened for completeness and compliance with the provisions of this notice. Incomplete and/or noncompliant proposals will be eliminated from competition, and notification of elimination will be sent to the applicant.For new users of Grants.gov, see Section D.1. for information about steps required before submitting an application via Grants.gov. Key Dates Applicants must submit their applications via Grants.gov by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on March 31, 2021. For technical issues with Grants.gov, contact Grants.gov Applicant Support at 1-800-518-4726 or support@grants.gov. Awarding agency staff cannot support applicants regarding Grants.gov accounts. Questions regarding this notice of funding opportunity (NFO) may be submitted until February 25, 2021. Responses to questions posed will be posted on Grants.gov approximately two weeks before the application due date. The agency anticipates making selections by April 15, 2021 and expects to execute awards by May 15, 2021.
