Description
Through this funding opportunity and based on funding availability, PAS Mumbai is seeking application for promoting gender equality by addressing gender disparities in popular Indian films and the film industry. This project will support women's empowerment in western and southern India by encouraging gender equality in popular media. Project Objectives: * Produce one data-based report that measures the level of on-screen and off-screen gender equality in Bollywood; * Increase public awareness of the problems associated with entertainment media that reinforces harmful gender stereotypes; * Persuade at least one local film industry influencer to commit to take action to combat gender stereotypes and/or increase gender balance on its team of creative directors for a future film.
