Description
The funds made available under this NOFO will provide funding in the amount of $400 million to the Emergency Food and Shelter Program under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, Section 4007, and EFSP's authorizing statute for the program, the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. Sections 11331-11352. This funding is in addition to the Fiscal Year 2021 funding for EFSP in the amounts of $130 million under the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2021 (Pub. L. No. 116-260) and $110 million under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, Section 4008 (Public Law No. 117-2). The only eligible applicant for the funds is the National Board for the Emergency Food and Shelter Program.
